The Photovoltaic Solar Energy course provides you with the essential skills to enter a booming sector with growing job demand by giving you an in-depth understanding of solar photovoltaics. As the world moves towards more sustainable energy sources, knowledge of solar photovoltaic technologies becomes crucial. You will learn about the solar resource, the photovoltaic effect and the various PV technologies, including crystalline silicon and thin-film panels. In addition, you will master the production of electrical energy in photovoltaic plants using tools such as the PVSYST software, which will allow you to perform accurate energy simulations. Equipping yourself with this knowledge will not only open doors to employment, but will also position you as a key player in the transition to a cleaner and more responsible energy future. With a flexible and accessible approach, this course is ideal for those looking to specialise in renewable energy with the convenience of online learning.

Objetivos

  • Knowledge of the fundamental physics of photovoltaic solar energy and the technique for measuring the solar resource of a site.

  • Study and analysis of the solar resource.

  • Analyse photovoltaic solar technology (crystalline silicon, thin film, concentration technology, etc.).

  • Apply computational simulation with the PVsyst programme for the calculation of electrical energy and the design and sizing of photovoltaic solar plants.

  • Dimensioning of photovoltaic solar plants.

  • Know the main civil works infrastructures necessary for the construction of a photovoltaic solar plant as well as the detailed analysis of the low and medium voltage electrical installations and the medium/high voltage electrical substation and evacuation power line.
