Introduction

Training in «Noise Measurements, Prevention and Protection» is a training programme designed to address the issue of noise and its impact in health and wellbeing. This course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of concepts relating to noise, as well as the measures y strategies effective to prevent it and protect yourself from its negative effects.

Furthermore, through this training, participants gain an understanding of the nature of noise, its sources and how it is measured. In addition, the implications of noise on the physical and mental health, as well as in the workplace and residential settings. The course also covers the rules and regulations relating to noise control and how to apply them in various contexts.

Objectives

  1. To internalise knowledge solid knowledge of the various sources of noise in workplace and residential environments.

  2. Learning to identify high-risk situations to assess hearing and evaluate exposure to noise in different contexts.

  3. Acquire the skills to apply preventive strategies, such as noise management in the design of spaces, the selection of hearing protection equipment and the implementation of engineering controls.

  4. To familiarise yourself with the local regulations and rules and international regulations relating to noise control, and how to comply with them.

  5. Contribute to Healthier Environments.
