Introduction

The formation of We’re All Working Together to Make Digital Information Accessible focuses on creating digital content that is accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities. Digital accessibility is essential to ensure that the online information is user-friendly and easy to understand by all users, regardless of their abilities. You will explore the fundamentals of digital accessibility, including understanding why it is essential and how it affects different users, by addressing techniques for creating documents and presentations in word processors and presentation software are accessible. You will also cover the web accessibility, email and social media, where guidelines are set out to ensure that websites and online communications are accessible to everyone.

  3. To learn the guidelines and techniques for achieving accessibility in PDF files and multimedia.

  4. To familiarise yourself with the practices of accessibility on the web, via email and on social media.
