Introduction

The digital revolution has brought with it a number of challenges relating to online security, data privacy, digital health and the need for responsible behaviour in the digital world. Now, more than ever, it is essential that people acquire the necessary skills to to navigate cyberspace safely and responsibly.

This training course on Safety and Civility in the Digital Environment aims to tackle these challenges by providing participants with the tools and knowledge they need to protect themselves online. Online safety is a growing concern due to the rise in threats such as data theft, cyberbullying and identity theft.

Objectives

  • To recognise and mitigate risks associated with the use of technological devices.

  • Protecting privacy and personal data online.

  • To promote health and wellbeing in the digital environment.

  • To promote the digital identity and the online civic behaviour.
