Introduction

The Prevention of Health and Safety at Work is the set of actions and measures aimed at preventing, minimising or eliminating the risks which are present in the workplace and which may affect workers’ safety. Current legislation and modern society require not only that the relevant laws be applied, but that this be done from the perspective of the new sensitivities social, taking into account, for example, the gender perspective.

Occupational health and safety with a gender perspective, develops the body of knowledge required to understand the national legislation in this field and to tackle preventive measures in the area of health and safety at work from a holistic perspective, taking the gender perspective into account.

Objectives

To know the legislation basic occupational health and safety legislation in our country.
Find out which are the main models of Occupational Health and Safety Management which a person may be eligible for organisation.
To analyse the differences on gender-based workplace accident rates.
To study the gender factors which influence individuals and organisations from an occupational health and safety perspective.
Bear in mind the gender perspective which affect occupational health and safety.
