The Psychogeriatrics focuses on the mental health of older people, ranging from the mentally healthy ageing up to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the conditions typical of this stage of life. Having regard to the demographic data and the widespread use of healthcare resources among this age group, the Course in Psychogeriatrics aims to prepare pupils, regardless of their academic background, to purchase high-level skills in the field of the mental and emotional wellbeing of older people.
