Introduction

The formation of First Aid: Burns focuses on providing you with the essential knowledge and skills for managing burns and thus provide a high-quality service to the patients with these features. This course consists of a series of video lessons in which you will start with the most basic concepts and gradually work your way up to the most advanced ones, beginning with an introduction to and classification of burns, and then moving on to the assessment of a burn and patients with extensive burns, and the appropriate and necessary initial care for these patients. Furthermore, all training is supported by a highly qualified multidisciplinary teaching team.

Objectives

Understanding the different types of burns and their causes.
Learn how to assess the extension y gravity from a burn.
To know the first-aid techniques to treat burns effectively.
Identify the signs of infection and complications arising from burns.
Familiarise yourself with the procedures on the care of patients with burns.
To acquire practical skills in the application of bandages and dressings.
