Graphic Design Project

Graphic Arts 140 hours

Introduction

A stand for a book, a poster, a leaflet or a tri-fold leaflet It is very important, as it represents the first impression we form of them, and this will lead us to whether or not we are interested in looking into it further in the information and content of that material. It is therefore essential that the companies specialising in graphic design of these products are able to develop graphic designs based on the initial specifications. This is achieved drawing sketches, selecting and adapting colours, images and typefaces; creating graphic elements, layouts and final artwork; using computer tools; drawing up quotes based on the specifications of the project and checking the quality of the finished product.

Objectives

  • Draw up instructions for the creation of graphic products based on briefs from hypothetical clients. - Identify the technical parameters for the production of graphic products.

  • To draw up detailed quotations for graphic design projects, carrying out the planning and estimating costs and timeframes.

  • To draw freehand sketches of graphic designs, using the most appropriate techniques and taking into account the characteristics and specifications of a given product.

  • To develop sketches for the creation of a graphic design project based on hypothetical instructions, using computer-based and/or manual techniques suitable for reproduction.

  • To develop sketches for packaging projects based on hypothetical instructions, using computerised and/or manual procedures suitable for reproduction.

  • To develop sketches for the creation of multimedia projects based on hypothetical instructions, using computer-based methods suitable for editing.
