Introduction

The importance of this training lies in the opportunity it offers to make a difference to the lives of people who are going through difficult situationss. Early and appropriate support can help to reduce the emotional impact and prevent more serious consequences for mental health. Thanks to this training in First Aid for Mental Health Students will learn about and become familiar with the first steps to take when we receive someone who may need this care; these are set out in theory and serve as a guide for our actions. Furthermore, it is important to ensure that help is provided in terms of the people’s basic needs, as well as effective coordination within a multidisciplinary team to meet the requirements for successful and professional psychological intervention and care.

  • To guide and inform the patients and their relatives depending on the emotional situation that arises.
