Introduction

With this online course from Basic Portuguese you’ll be able to start a basic learning from Portuguese, which will enable you to understand and use everyday expressions very commonly used, as well as simple sentences, which relate to personal data and to specific needs. It will also equip you to to interact in a basic way provided that the person you are speaking to speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to to collaborate.

Objectives

Use the vocabulary basic, as well as forming very common words, using the most common affixes and verbs with very common particles.
Present antonyms, false friends, abbreviations common words and the use of some basic collocations.
Use the prayer, names and adjectives, determiners, pronouns, verbs, adverbs and conjunctions.
To know the alphabet, spelling, the use of capital letters in proper nouns (names of people, places and other entities), punctuation marks, contractions and commonly used symbols.
To study the Phonetics and phonology of the Portuguese language: vowel and consonant sounds and phonemes, phonological processes, stress and unstressed syllables.
