In today’s digital age, databases are the driving force behind innovation and technological development. The course ‘Introduction to Databases: Relational Databases’ offers you a gateway into this dynamic and ever-expanding world. You will learn to manage and optimise information using database management systems, from storage through to advanced programming. You will delve into the relational data model, exploring concepts such as primary keys, indexes and views, and you will master the SQL language to carry out efficient queries. Furthermore, the course will equip you with the skills to interpret entity-relationship diagrams and use object-relational databases, preparing you to tackle the challenges of today’s job market.

  • Apply the relational data model and define primary and foreign keys.
