Introduction

One of the key skills possessed by a a good leader is the ability to manage teams. With this training initiative in Team Management Students will be able to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to set up and manage productive teams that perform to their full potential. Following their study, the students will explore key issues related to team management and will learn how to apply concepts and practical techniques to improve group dynamics and team performance. In short, it will prepare you for lead teams effectively, by promoting effective communication, problem-solving and teamwork.

Objectives

  • Understanding the nature of the conflicts within organisations.

  • Develop skills to resolve conflicts effectively as part of a team.

  • Identify and apply types of feedback suitable for team management.

TEACHING UNIT 3. MORE THAN JUST A TEAM: A HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAM.

  1. Is it normal for a defender to score a goal?
  2. Characteristics that define a high-performing team.
  3. The manager’s role in developing a holistic view.
  4. The manager’s role in fostering commitment.
  5. The manager’s role in managing the interchangeability of roles amongst EAR members.
