Ergonomics: Analysis of Physical Factors

Introduction

The ergonomics is the study of the relationship between humankind and its work environment. It is a multidisciplinary science, which draws on knowledge derived from the humanities, such as anatomy, physiology and psychology, as well as the engineering sciences, such as engineering, with the aim of ensuring that the work is tailored to the individual’s characteristics and that, in turn, this organisation can carry out its activities in the better conditions possible. Through this training initiative in Ergonomics: Analysis of Physical Factors Students will be able to analyse the physical conditions which affect the workstation in the course of their work.

Objectives

  • To analyse the physical conditions which affect the workplace in the course of their work.

  • Learning how to determine the thermal environment.

  • Identify the physical environment from the workplace.

  • To study the sound and lighting atmosphere.
